i don't know if anyone has noticed these new doorbell looking things attached to the outside of buildings (mainly dorms) by the entrances or discretely screwed on the walls in classrooms. It is called the ibutton. I encourage you to check out ibutton.com or google ibutton...some interesting stuff comes up.

This is really strange. As I read about it, I kept wondering if this were some kind of joke, like a pet rock or something.
i spent a lot of time reading about these ibuttons but I still am unsure of what type of memory databasing they do.
